Illuminated Verses from The Song of Songs by Marcia Falk

These museum-quality fine-art prints of Marcia Falk's pencil drawings were created under the artist's supervision at Damon Fine Arts in San Francisco. The images are printed using archival pigments on 100% cotton rag Epson Velvet Fine Art paper, in an edition limited to 18.

The texts on the drawings are from the artist's widely praised poetic translation, The Song of Songs: Love Lyrics from the Bible, in which the voices of women and men celebrate eros, sensuality, and the beauties of the natural world. Isaac Bashevis Singer has said of this translation: "I thought until now that The Song of Songs could not be translated better than the King James Version. Marcia Falk has done an exceptional poetic job. She has great power in her language."
